FedEx is the most recent of the large integrators that are
operating at Vitoria Airport, where it started to operate at the beginning of October 2004.
Vitoria has become FedEx’s hub for northern Spain.
The aim of FedEx is to strengthen its position in northern Spain by connecting Vitoria
and Madrid with two daily flights, and with further connections to the European hub in Paris.
The objective of this route is to allow areas of northern Spain, that previously did not form
part of FedEx’s EuroOne network, to benefit from a reduction in transit times to one day.
